How to Find Child Care in Your Community

May 25, 2017 by Bethanie Ryan

child in child care

Finding child care can be one of the most challenging tasks all parents take on. It’s not always easy to know where to find the highest quality care in your area. Even beginning the process can be a daunting task.

There are, however, resources to help! Child Care Resource and Referral, known as CCR&R, are agencies that keep a database listing of child care centers, providers, and programs in their region. The information they include is extensive and goes beyond just a listing of contact information and prices. When you call CCR&R, they will walk you through a series of detailed questions, in order to help connect you with a customized list you can work with.

In addition, they also provide technical assistance and additional trainings to child care providers on their list, so that you can rest assured that anyone listed with them has met a specific standard of quality.

CCR&R takes the stress out of knowing where to begin and allows you to jump right in with interviewing those that meet your needs.
